Introductory Internal Paragraphs Property of Al Hiking Trail Society Installed by Nimblewill Nomad, Vagabond Rick, March 19, 2016 Made by Rev Pete McElrath I photographed this Log Book 30 March 2020. This 9½" x 6" wirebound book has a red cardboard covers and no external text. There are no loose pages. It is located a few minutes down the trail from the Picnic Pavilion & parking lot once built as the Southern Terminus of the Pinhoti. This is not the current Pinhoti Trail, as the terminus was moved within the historic CCC Cabins area atop Flagg, but is on alternative routes reasonable for long distance hikers past and future. I categorized hikers signing here as being on the Pinhoti Trail unless they said otherwise. I sorted all out of sequence entries into chronological order, and exercized some editorial license to make this readable. There was little water damage but some illegible words in this book.

AT (400mi) → BMT → Pinhoti! Alabama, you are so beautiful! Thank you to everyone that has made the Pinhoti a reality. This trail is a spectacular example of our state and these southern Appalachians. Today, on Thanksgiving, I'm finishing an 800 mile trip with Mom & Dad and our pups. I'm so thankful for everything along this journey. And I'm so thankful for Sonny. You rock dude!
