Introductory Internal Paragraphs Laurel Shelter Log Book From John N. Calhoun www.trailjournals.com/mothernaturesson I photographed this 8½x11 log book 27 March 2020. It had plenty of blank pages and was not disintegrating. I left it in Laurel Shelter for further use. The smaller colorful booklet is the Book of John, and an 8½x11 full Bible is also stored in the same bag. |

Hiked 26 miles today. 13 hours. I'm pretty slow, but willing to walk long after dark. 11:00pm on the nose! It's cold. I'm (dd. I'm hungry. Pizza awaits for me in Heflin. I'm getting up suuuper early tomorrow to finish the whatever 19ish to the Heflin Trail and 3.2 into town. Followed by a sweet sweet zero day. I'm finishing my section hike of the US section of the ECT. Canada border to Key West. I'm 1100 in with about 700 to finish. The end is in sight. When I get to White Springs, Fl., I will have done the 4200 miles in just under 3 years. Not as grand as a thru hike, but a dream come true. I'm on IG @ walkstoomuch if anyone need more pictures of random plants and mountains. Loving Bama! this end of the Appalachians is underrated. | |||||||

GREAT DAY IN THE WILD! I don't like making people mad at me, but my ideals differ greatly from many. These woods should be open to hiking in spite of the corona virus. I am isolated and healthy, and not a carrier. Still, they talk of controlling me & other hikers. May they soon understand the healing power of Jesus. Beyond Boundaries. |
