Most of the maps shown on this page can be downloaded from the USGS Online store for free. 7½ minute maps are the most detailed available. New and 50+ year old editions are very illuminating about the land the Pinhoti crosses. 30' maps are over 100 years old and help with history.
The US Forest Service produces their own 7½' maps with the same titles but with different information than the USGS maps. They can be downloaded free at:
